Year of The Dolphin
Our 2027 USA Beach Running Championships take place on Memorial Day Weekend, and, in our long tradition of honoring marine animals, our theme for our medal, shirts and hats is the Bottlenose Dolphin. Since 1959, the US Navy has trained and worked with these beautiful and smart mammals to detect underwater mines, lost items and to rescue civilians and sailors. With the most sophisticated sonar system in the world, dolphins have been an invaluable part of our military and Navy dolphin are reported to have saved more lives in the open ocean than human divers.
Our 2027 finishers medal will be a beauty and will be announced and shared here and via our social media sites in early 2027.

- Low-tide, out and back course on hard packed sand
- Open to all runners. No qualifying!
- Walkers welcome in the 5K and 10K (no walkers in the 15k)
- Shoes are optional! Enter the Barefoot division!*
- Post-race awards party on the beach with music, champagne, mimosas and more!
- Medals to all 5K, 10K, and 15k Finishers
There is a 3 hour course time limit. No walkers allowed in the 15k
